The minimum salary is 700k. A player literally cannot be signed for any cheaper than that. Now if it turns out to be a one-way contract, then it contradicts Adams's previous comments, or reveals that the team sees Davidson as an NHL defenseman for some reason, but there is no reason to assume that as of now.

Correct, I see cap friendly updated it to reflect two way and his two way salary.

I too am angry the Sabres are signing depth and not overpaying free agents in an offseason where patient teams may be awarded some great deals.
