So then I guess the logic is that he's going to need more time in Rochester to get back to speed than is allowed by a conditioning loan. And since he likely won't get claimed....let him work his way into shape in Rochester.

He'll probably stay down long enough to get his hockey legs/stamina back. My initial guess would be maybe a month? Or so?

Makes sense if he needs a while to get into shape. Look at Nylander, he's quite a bit more of a hockey player than Wilson is, wasn't injured, and has taken a long time finding his form.
