What nations would have the strongest 22 and under team

Team Russia:

Kovalchuk-Ovechkin-Semin
Frolov-Svitov-Zherdev
Chistov-Malkin-Grigorenko
Perezhogin-Polushin-Suglobov

Tyutin-Grebeshkov
Koltsov-Knyazev
Volchenkov-Semenov

Bryzgalov
Medvedev

That looks extreamly strong to me, I am doing Canada right now.

No Martin or Hale on team US? Thanks anyway, I really didn't want to do every nation. It is harder then I thought :)

Martin is too old turned 23 in March.....and Hale also turns 23 in like a month. If Martin were young enough I'd bump him over Whitney. Hale I'd keep off, I wanted to include 2 U-18 players.

Damn....you know Devils prospects ages better then me :)

I was going to cinlude Martin but had to doublecheck his age and realized he was too old. I honestly didn't include putting in Hale, nothing against him, just like the guys I have better.

lol same here, why no Andrei Kastsitsyn ?

He's not Russian.

Anyway, as for the Czechs, I wonder if Cutta shouldn't fit in there somewhere on the blue line?

Obviously you have forgotten Nick Schultz from the Minnesota Wild. He's an '82 born and could replace Jackman on the backend.

You could make a case for a Lombardi, Kobasew, Cammalleri, Lupul, Ott, Stajan, Stoll, Vermette, Boyes, Burns, Daley and/or Colaiacoivo. Barrett Jackman, Justin Williams and Raffi Torres are too old in my books. They turn 23 this year.

Lombardi would be a 'sure thing' if I was picking an U22 team. Speaking of a 22 team....how about Jordin Tootoo on the club??

Plekanec should be there, unless he's considered Slovakian?

How about Bacashihua as the back-up?

Or Nystrom up front?

Some of these teams are sick. Nice work, guys.

I would strongly consider other options for Canada instead of Roy. I prefer Vermette, for one. There are also other guys that are left off and it is understandable but pains me a little.

For instance, Steve Ott is U-22, I believe. He's got a lot of pro experience, including under pressure. And while agitating is not exactly as crucial on international play, it has surprisingly proven successful. Players like Svitov have put tactics to good use and the referees can be manipulated. Ott is a warrior. And for an agitator type, very skilled.

Another guy that pains me to leave (but less so) is Brent Burns. Again, pro experience. Yeah, he's been so-so. But I am a believer. He is essentially what Taylor Pyatt was hyped to be. Big guy with raw skills and amazing wheels for his size.

If there was a training camp, we could add more great names and I'm sure there would be surprises. Guys like Stewart, Vermette, Ott, Klein, Belle or Bernier could at least attend.

And somehow, I would bet 50 bucks that Mike Richards would find a way to make the team coming out of nowhere as usual.

The Russian team is sick on paper. The USA team is awesome too.

Can someone do Sweden?
