The only downside to Gauthier is that some scouts have questioned his hockey IQ, but he skates well and obviously has a lot of size.

He hated Hanifin as well, right?

It's not that he hated Hanifin, it's just that he had Provorov and Werenski (I think) rated higher. In the end, that may be true. Same goes for 2014. IIRC, he had Fleury lower and Sanheim higher.

I think, for defensemen, it's a case where Button places a higher value on scoring and offensive ability. Probably raw skill is the reason he had Gauthier rated lower as well.

Wasn't necessarily my favorite player, but no complaints in the area we got him. Doesn't guarantee anything, but pretty great that Canada thought enough of him to put him on their team as a draft eligible. Right handed, goal scoring, power forwards are never a bad thing if he can develop all the way into that at the NHL level. Hopefully he'll find a little more balance in his game play as well.

I'm too dumb to get it to work without in the thread. It's 7 minutes of play from the past year, and the guy elevates the puck like nobodies business. If Jerome Samsone had these skills, he'd be an all star.

I got less dumb, and copied geehad's mad compooter skillz.
