Looked like his skate may have caught on the ice or something when he tried to slow down his attempt toward the boards.

It did not look like the Devils player pushed him at all.

Didn't get to see the game this morning against Norway but he played over 18 minutes and was +1 in USA's 2-1 win.

I watched a good portion of it. He was there. Looks similar to how he did in Notre Dame. No aspect of his game stands out, but he is steady. I don't really see NHL potential there, but he should be a viable AHL option.
