Maybe its because he got signed by a SHL team today, lol
Mora in HA for Gustav Borvik.
Øby Olsen signed for Oskarshamn in SHL today. And Lilleberg signed for Växsjö. I don't think Lilleberg wants to go to NHL and Arizone Coyotes yet, chaotic club with no arena..
More norwegians signing in SHL now.

Brandsegg Nygård, Vesterheim, Stian Solberg and Martin Johnsen should also sooner or later be good candidates for SHL teams.

I think for Gabriel Koch, staying in j20 is not a good option as he is soon 20 years old.
Then senior hockey in Norway is a better option for those pushing 20 years. Same thing with Martin Johnsen who'll play for Storhamar next season. Kasper Magnussen has also left Leksand for NCAA in USA which is also a good option for players pushing 20 years.

J20 in Sweden is very good for players 19 years old or younger. If then they don't get any icetime in SHL when they are pushing 20, then norwegian senior league is a better option or NCAA like Kasper Magnussen.

Anyone know what's going on with Emilio Pettersen? Not playing Calder Cup, and no news on WC participation? Is he injured?

Isak Hansen, only 19 years old. Draft potential? And why is Brynäs listed as the club he grow up in, is he half-swede?

No idea why it says Brynäs. He has a profile on their old homepage, but not listed anything in Eliteprospects. He is big though, but been playing in Sweden and haven't seen much of him. A bit surprised that he was chosen above Engebråthen who is one of my favourite young defenders going to Jukerit next season. This team is very young. Could be a tough tournament, but whatever happens, the new coach seems very well grounded and really happy that they give so many young players a shot. Could pay off big-time down the line for the National team, when they get the opportunity to showcase at this event. Vestereng was 70 something in the SS final draft, and Steen and Hansen might play themself into contention as well with a good tourney. Maybe that is a consideration too. We need some more NHLers.

Young team, but with Russia and Belarus out, teams like Norway are pretty safe from relegation I think

A deserved victoy to Kasakhstan though, our team looks really bad.
Three points vs. Sloveina is our only hope to avoid relegation.

If not for a couple of unnecessary penalties, Kazakhstan never comes back. They created basically nothing 5v5.

We play decent in 2 and 3.rd period against the swiss today. But we really lack a good. 1.line and very good PP line to make the game against the swiss interesting. 1.period we wasn't prepared and didn't look like a team. Our top 6 is weak when we don't have our best players like Rosseli Olsen, Zuccarello, Emilio Pettersen, Patrick Thoresen, guys that can make a differnce.. We also miss our leading back Lesund.

We have good depth among 3rd and 4th line players, and can handle a couple of injuries and declines here. We really need a good topline to be more dangerous. But the players work hard and neutralise the swiss for long periods, without being dangerours. The swiss had good control on the game.

Next game against Slovenia will be a do or die game related to relegation. On a good day we can also deal with Latvia.

That was a close one, a scrappy 1-0 victory. But I'll take that every day of the week to stay up. It's a little to early to bring out the Champagne, but I can't see Slovenia taking 5 points from their remaining opponents.

Big win today against Canada. David vs. Goliat. Canada they tried and they fought to the end, but they couldn't win today.

Very nice to see young guns like Isak Hansen, Petter Vesterheim and Noah Steen who haven't reached 20 years of age yet playing well against a team stacked with NHL'ers and top draft prospects.

Our PP still isn't good, we have to work on that.
Defence have been good this tournament, only 13 conceeded goals is best for years for Norway. It's a more puck holding team we have now, and not just a team that plays glas out for 60 minutes like before.

I didn't expect this young and inexperienced team to pull of someting like this.
Proud of our team today :handclap:

Magnussen was offered a spot on Leksands senior team. But that would have made it more difficult to get a NCAA contract, if his already had signed a professional contract in Sweeden or elsewhere. So he turned down the offer. Happy to read now, that he is ready for NCAA.
