On Allen, I thought it was revealing when interviewed he talked about the difference in going up against third lines in his D-1 year to playing the opposition's best in his draft year. That stronger competition on a weaker team seemed to cause his game to spiral in a less insulated role. The physical tools are there as evidence by him crushing the combine. He could stand to become better laterally but it's all about committing and focusing in making better decisions. They can afford to take it extremely slow. Another two years in junior and probably another two in Hershey unless it all clicks in the meantime. With dedication he can get there. But it is rare to see a guy's counting stats decline in their draft year and to fall so far from first round, top ten even, billing to start the year.

Michigan center TJ Hughes looks to be the invite of note this year.

Then still on the PK in OT the 2nd shift he blocks a shot and creates a 2 on 1 where he should have passed the puck, but he didn’t give up the puck at all down the stretch, had a bunch of chances.
