Yikes- that has to be one of the biggest spreads ever for a playoff game.

If anyone believes in a miracle tonight, a whole lot of value with the Preds- lol

That is crazy- I mean, those are the kind of odds you see in the regular season when a team like Arizona or Montreal plays at Florida/Colorado. I can't say I disagree with it though- lol

Just for comparison sake- the other huge underdog in Round 1 is Dallas- and in their game tonight Calgary is -240.

I still hate the Arizona loss last Friday night so much- what an absolute fail. I doubt we would have beaten Calgary either the way we are playing but we absolutely had a better chance against them, even if it would have still been small.

After a 2 goal lead I was like if they score another goal I’m turning it off then they scored and I repeated the last statement again and again Until I ended up watching the whole game lol. Fact is this is the playoffs and when this is over I have to wait months to see preds hockey again so it’s hard to turn it off. We were just the victim of poor officiating in game 1, like every other team that has lost a playoff game.

Avs are -360 and Preds are +280 on DraftKings. Panthers are -275 and Caps +225. Flames are -240 and Stars are +195.

Main reason for our unusually tall odds is goaltending. If Saros were starting, our odds would be closer to the Panther game. Until we can prove we have competent, NHL-quality goaltending, the odds will remain high.

Remember, we beat these guys 3 times this year. I realize they looked like the Globetrotters to our Washington Generals on Tuesday but after the 1st period, it looked more normal.

There's one "key to the game" tonight. SCORE FIRST.

Lightning and Blues responded to their blowouts with blowouts of their own last night and the Canes relied on a backup goalie to have a strong game so here's to hoping we can follow their lead. Honestly, though after Game 1 I'd settle for even a hard fought loss.
