Has WHL released info about import draft order? Are they selecting first or is it the Q? Which teams need imports?
Should go 1-QMJHL 2-WHL 3-OHL. WHL is still playing so order will still change but looking like Victoria will have the 1st WHL pick(2nd overall). Basically every team will need imports but maybe some from the last draft will report next year assuming they can even come by next season(they should but can never trust the Canadian government to think logically)

Because they both have French names but are Albertans?

Brule is a NSWC product from North Vancouver and his development was derailed by injuries, his handling by the Blue Jackets and his father.

Savoie is the better prospect of the 2 by quite a bit as well.

There’s a lottery for the import draft order this year because it wasn’t a fair season across the CHL.
Q-W-O will stay though.

For me, the Hävelid brothers are the top guys at their positions from Sweden. One could argue that Mattias is the top prospect in Sweden for 2022. I think he's in the mix with some forwards (in no particular order):

- Liam Öhgren. His father Andreas Öhren is a well known name, trains NHL players during the summer. Liam is physically extremely advanced for his age. Reminds me a bit of Alexander Holtz in that way, maybe not quite the same goal scoring instincts but I see him as a more complete offensive player. Bigger, better skater and more athletic. Jumped out to me a lot in both international play and at the U16 playoffs.

- Alexander Suzdalev. Smooth playmaking winger with some really nice tools. Good size, great skater, great hands and vision. Plays quite a lot on the perimeter however.

- Noah Östlund. Plays both center and wing. Smallish but excellent skater. William Nylander or Jack Hughes would be solid comparisons.

- Jonathan Lekkerimäki. Worst of these players at the moment but I personally think he's the most talented one. Best hands, best shot and best playmaker along with Suzdalev. He's just physically far behind. Lekkerimäki has that awareness on the ice that very few players have. I see him as a Pettersson/Marner type player, not sure he has that really high built-in compete level though.

Far too early to say how these will compare to other players in a draft 2 years from now. I'm sure other names will pop up along the road. Didn't like what I saw from Odelius this year after a good start, he's still a name to look out for.

Bumping this post. I've been watching Sweden at the Hlinka-Gretzky the past two days and Ostlund and Ohgren have been standouts for Sweden.

Also add Calle Odelius to that list. The kid is mobile, a good passer and makes great choices with the puck in his end.

Why is Geekie all the way down at 29? Seems pretty appealing to me.

NVM - Didn't realize this was from May
