Goyette, Firkus and Geekie far too high.

If Miro is available for Habs, I sure hope they pick him. Where is Luneau?

Ottawa is clearly trying to build a big tough team. The smallest guys on our team Mete and Ennis are both not being re-signed. So that leaves the smallest guy as Erik Brannstrom at 5'10. Nobody else is under 6'0.
If anything we will reach for a big player, like we did for Boucher and Brown.
Since 2018 we have drafted a total of 2 players under 6 feet tall, Oliver Johansson at 5'11 in the 3rd round of 2021 and and Angus Crookshank at 5'10 in the 5th round of 2018.

I like Goyette, I think he goes higher than we expect but I don't think Ottawa is that team. We don't take this kind of risk. If he was 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier maybe, but he just doesn't fit what Ottawa is so clearly building.

If this is how the draft was to go down I could see Ottawa drafting Yurov if they have a commitment from him to come to NA (they have stayed away from drafting Russians out of Russia), or Cutter Gauthier (USANTDP has been a favorite of Doirion, and at 6'2 190 with a nose for scoring goals, I think our staff would like the idea of Gauthier next to Stutzle.)

Don't see the Devils going for Kemell as we already have Holtz who basically is the same type of prospect.

If the draft went down like that I would think the Devils would go with Gauthier as he's the Highly ranked power forward of the draft class and having him with Hughes or Hischier would be a dream.

Seattle taking Geekie at 5 with Kemell, Savoie and Jiricek still available would be a Seattle thing to do.
