Poor Teasdale, honestly thought he'd be a serious lock for 3rd line+ duties but injuries killed his chances.

Time to vote my boy Vrbetic in

He got his job stolen in the PO by a guy drafted in the 7th round this year.

I don't think North Bay is sad he signed an AHL contract instead of coming back.

I also don't think he's going to beat Desrosiers as the TR starter.

Goalies are weird and at this point hes the only one with an actual shot at NHL time.

Highly disagree. If I had to bet, I'd bet on Davidson, Nurmi, Teasdale, Hillis, Pitlick, Croteau and Tourigny before him.

I think Davidson has a chance to be at least a DLR for us.

I like Davidson as well but don't see many similarities with DLR, unless you were simply referring to a 4th line/13th forward type. He is still something of a long shot but there is a little Michael Ryder in his game.

In his first WHL years he was apparently used pretty exclusively as a defensive forward. The last two year, he's pretty much went full offence while forsaking most of his defensive game.

If the offence dries up like it did for DLR, he could fill a similar role of a defense first forward.

There is an amateur scouting report out there that was made by an enormous moron who based his assumption about Davidson's increased production entirely on advanced stats that led him to believe that Davidson entirely forfeited any effort to play defence. He was wrong, just like the rest of the nonathletic basement dwellers who never played and need stats to tell them what they are seeing.

Davidson did not in any way abandon his defensive game, he simply got better. I am not a +/- guy at all but it is not even possible to entirely abandon all defensive responsibilities as this tool suggested and still be a +43 in just 64 games while scoring 89 points. Maybe if he put up 120+ points to offset his awful defensive zone play this could happen......I watched as much as I could find and he is definitely better than most top junior scorers in his own end. He just figured out how to be in the right place at both ends of the rink instead of forcing and chasing the play to accumulate obscure stats for our silly online scout friend.

Not ranting against you at all but I remember reading that "scouting report" and thinking that it was just another dumb kid sharing his dumb opinion. Then I watched Davidson play and was quickly proven correct.

As much as I love the ability to research anything that comes to mind on the internet.....social media has provided a platform for the hordes of self important knuckle draggers to muddy the waters where expert analysis once reigned supreme but has been relegated to the fringes.
