A former NASCAR driver was shot and killed after attacking two people with a hatchet just days after his divorce is being finalized, police said

A third person, Zachary Anderson, was also in the home, according to the report.

A preliminary investigation found that John Townley went to the home and attacked Laura Townley and Anderson with a hatchet. The Townleys’ divorce had been finalized earlier in the week.

Anderson then fired several shots that hit John Townley and accidentally hit Laura Townley, according to the report.

Townley's father, Tony Townley, is the co-founder of the Athens-based chicken chain Zaxby's.

An Oblate Spheroid
Kyle Larson wins the championship. So on brand for NASCAR and I'm sure makes a lot of their fanbase happy. But to be fair, he was by far the most dominant driver, not sure I'd say most deserving given his history though.
