As of right now I have Hugues at 1. I see him as the most valuable player of this crop.

Eklund and Beniers not far behind at 2 and 3. Next up are Lysell, Power and Johnson in no clear order.

Hot take ; I think Stankoven will be cracking my top 10.

Top 10 are of no interest here because the Habs won't be drafting there, or even close.

I wish L'Heureux would quit getting f***ing suspended so I could get a better read on his game. Interesting prospect, not sold on the upside though.

Wonder if we have eyes on Kirby Dach’s brother Colton. Off to a hot start, physical, soft hands, and can skate pretty well for a 6’4 lankster. Checks all the same boxes as Tuch but with a bit more offensive acumen.

The Brad Lambert Show(tm)

Looks like they are not pushing on Kiviharju too much, that's good.

I wouldn't call Tuch lanky. He was listed at 6-3, 207, on the BU lineup card. Also, I think his offense is underrated, last year's U18 team played a very defensive style. Most of the players actually scored at a higher rate in college than they did in the USHL. Luke was third in team scoring with the Terriers, and second in goal scoring, I believe. As a rule freshmen get better as the season goes on, and he only got to play less than half of a normal season.

If Stankoven is actually available, I think it's a no brainer honestly. Ranked in late first round even second round often, I really, really don't care he's 5'8 give me talent all day.

He sounds a lot like B. Gallagher, so I'm sure the Habs have eyes on him.

Hopefully we keep on sliding down the standings and Calgary kicks us out of a playoff spot. 12 last isn’t out of question. Lysell is the dream.

BUF - Beniers
ANA - Power
SEA - Hughes
OTT - Guenther
DET - Edvinsson
NJD - Clarke
VAN - Eklund
CBJ - Johnson
L.A - Lambos
SJ - Wallsdet
MTL - Lysell

11 picks now for this draft in July, but 3 top 60 picks and 8 in the top 120ish should be fun to see what they do there.

Hopefully flip a couple of picks for next year like we always do, but every GM knows that the next draft is a lot deeper it's going to be harder than usual. I would be okay with selecting 3 players in the top 60 though there is some quality early.

I'm a draft junkie and all that but not making the playoffs this season would be all sorts of depressing . I'd rather not even imagine it TBH.

My 3 targets as of now:

1- Simon Robertsson (safest pick of the three but not necessarily low ceiling) - Good motor, Great skating, great shot, power forward.

2- Oskar Olausson (more risk/high reward) - Good frame, Slik and skilled winger, Grade-A skating.

2- Scott Morrow (more risk/high reward) - U North Dakota commit - which is important to me. Modern day puck-moving D. Good frame.

With last night defeat I looked more at the top of the draft... And don't get me wrong I still want to make the playoffs and try to spoil the Leafs plan... I really do... But if Flames were to jump us and we get the chance to select top 14, with the prospect pool we already have it could be amazing...

Sort of like a gift come draft day, there's always 1 player falling, we were so lucky with Caufield... Idk, Hugues injury scaring people and we jump up to #9 and grab him... I'm dreaming but... The appeal of adding another A prospect is sitting well with me, a lot more than earlier in the year where it was playoff or nothing.
