6’5 defenseman aren’t supposed to skate like this. Simon Edvinsson has been pretty good since finding a permanent role in Alssvensan. A guy that we might be looking at in the first round this year. He’s mocked in the 3-12 range typically.

I know 2022 has a few great forward prospects at the top, but how is the depth? I have no clue with the 2021 forwards. 2021 D seems to be really deep. I am asking because we are more likely to pick in the teens, not top 10.

never truly know with the lottery though. maybe bettman will forget we own pitts pick when he rigs it

I don’t think this 2021 draft is particularly deep, but I think you’ll see some big hits in the 2nd round

Logan Stankoven, little bit of an awkward skating stride but boy can he shoot the puck. Seems to play with an edge. Right handed too.

I'm not usually too concerned with an individuals height, but 50% or more of our top 6 is already set to be 5'10 or under. I wouldn't be upset to draft more players like Boldy.

Very good from a QC standpoint.

There’s a lot to name but the Gatineau Olympiques and Halifax Mooseheads will likely have 10 picks between them alone.

I don't think so right now. Had a really good d-1 season in the dub and was the sexy pick going into the season out of that league. I watched him in the AJ this year and Savoie was noticeable better while being a 2022 eligible. I like the player, though. Elias Lindholm ceiling if everything goes right.

Guenther’s stock has been steadily rising for the past year.

Savoie was supposed to be something special, not saying he’s bad but I’m not sure he goes top 5.

Pittsburgh is either going to go down to the wire, or the wheels are about to fall off soon. I still wouldn't rule out their pick getting into the top 10, though it's definitely not the most likely outcome.

Elliot Friedman also tweeting that the draft is expected to move forward at it's original date in July. Crazy that we're only a few months away from the draft with how recent the last one was.
