Almost equal value for me at this point. Both good choices.

Rindell played in a better league last year, but Steeves was better in his league (which was arguably the best league in the NCAA). Rindell was on a much much worse team though. Almost identical age (21.4 vs 21.8). Ya, no bad choice. I'm gonna go Steeves.

Steeves for me. Great shot, great motor, pro-style game, and has been really good in the NCAA. Has been killing it at the Leafs development camp too.

Honestly, he probably has a better shot to be an NHLer than a bunch of the guys ahead of him on this list. I saw someone compare him to Trevor Moore, and I think that’s a pretty good comp. He does need to keep working on his skating though - it’s improved but still on the weak side for a 5’11” NHLer. Trevor Moore is/was a much better skater.

I like Rindell having the offensive skills first, but reports are he has to round out the defensive side. If he does, he could be a gem.
Same reason for liking Villeneuve.
If they have the head for being more alert and simple, they get much more useful.
Still, Reeves first.
