I remember last year there were news that the Islanders were going to sign Cory Schneider on the very first day of free agency and it took a very long time before it was confirmed. Pretty much the same thing happening this year with Palmieri, Zajac and Parise.

Thought he was a very reasonable bottom-pair guy for us after the Preds picked him up at the deadline. Surprised he is only getting a PTO somewhere, he's a legit NHL player, even if he hasn't lived up to either his draft position or his past contracts.
