Carolina takes the lead! That is their fifteenth free agent signing (Andersen, Chatfield, Cole, DeAngelo, Gelinas, Jacobs, Leivo, Letunov, Lyon, Miletic, Noesen, Raanta, Smith, Smith, Stepan) this off-season.

Both they and Toronto were at 14 before this.
Still gotta catch Vancouver

The following restricted (Group II) free agents will become unrestricted (Group III) free agents tomorrow having turned 27 years of age. Because of the late date for free agency last year, two players (Stransky and Pedan) are 28 years old.

The year that they became restricted free agents is in parenthesis.

Alexander Khokhlachev - Boston (2016)
Daniel, Zaar - Columbus (2017)
Matej Stransky - Dallas (2017)
Mikael Wikstrand - Ottawa (2017)
Anton Slepyshev - Edmonton (2018)
Christoph Bertschy - New Jersey (2018)
Lukas Bengtsson - Pittsburgh (2018)
Andrey Pedan - Pittsburgh (2018)
Petteri Lindbohm - St. Louis (2018)
Emil Pettersson - Arizona (2019)
Saku Maenalanen - Carolina (2019)
Spencer Foo - Calgary (2019)
Patrik Rybar - Detroit (2019)
Emil Djuse - Florida (2020)
Charles Hudon - Montreal (2020)
Pontus Aberg - Pittsburgh (2020)

Thought the Kraken might take a flier on Stransky given his big season with Czech champion Trinec but Oleksiak was a lot better option for a first-year team.

What the heck is going on with these rumored islanders locks not signed yet (Palmieri, parise, etc)?
I remember last year there were news that the Islanders were going to sign Cory Schneider on the very first day of free agency and it took a very long time before it was confirmed. Pretty much the same thing happening this year with Palmieri, Zajac and Parise.

Leafs are going to offer Gudbranson a PTO.
Thought he was a very reasonable bottom-pair guy for us after the Preds picked him up at the deadline. Surprised he is only getting a PTO somewhere, he's a legit NHL player, even if he hasn't lived up to either his draft position or his past contracts. :dunno:
