Mysak will play in OHL I guess.

Is Blandisi coming back ?

Yea, in an interview with McCagg, Timmins said Mysak will play in the OHL.

I don't remember if the interview was before or after the rumor that the NHL is negotiating with the CHL about Junior players that played at least 20 games last year could return to the AHL.

As for Blandisi, I do hope he returns. He is still a UFA. He hasn't signed anywhere else so far. If Poehling doesn't crack the Habs' line-up out of camp, I would love to see the return of the Blandisi - Poehling - Teasdale line that was really good together last year.

At this point, if we're fully healthy, why not play Teasdale in Trois-Rivières too? 1st line/1st PP, let him develop some offense
That's a great idea, and it leaves room in Laval to send Armia or Lehkonen there to develop their offence some more too, especially with Caufield already there.

If you had AHL.tv last season, keep in mind that if you didn't cancel auto-renew, in 11 days it will renew for this upcoming season. I canceled mine and I'll just sign up right when the season starts as the price is the same if I recall.

What's the downside of auto-renewal?

nothing, just in case some only wanted it for last season due to covid or whatever. I personally don't want to pay for it now when I can pay the same amount in 6 weeks or so but only because i'm in a cash business so the money is better off in my hands for as long as possible or not depending on how the market treats me.

I see they capped the Habs attendance at 7500. I'm wondering, will they be allowing fans (how many) to attend the games in Laval and Trois-Rivières?

I'm assuming ahl teams don't fly to other cities, so how are they planning to have a regular season? They can't drive across.

They only fly if the cities are far. For example this year they will play in Texas. They will fly there.

For the 95% of their travel that is done by bus, I'm guessing there will be an exemption for professional teams.

Would either team have more than 7500 fans in any case?

So 7,500 fans in a 21,000 seat arena is about 35-36% capacity. If we go with that same percentage for Place Bell, it would be around the 3,500 fans.

However, Les Olympiques de Gatineau will allow a maximum of 2,500 fans in attendance. It's a 5,000-seat arena, so that would be 50% capacity.

Beaudoin says to expect Habs to sign Kevin Roy for Laval most probably in the next few days.

I don't know if he meant to an NHL deal or an AHL deal.

28 years old.
5'9" and 170 lbs

Had 30 pts in 35 GP last year in Tucson.

The limit is still six 260+ vets per game right ? So there's still space for one more, potentially.

5 vets who have played 320 games or more.
1 vet who has played between 260-320 games.

Martel counts as a vet who played between 260-320.

So really, Laval has 4 vets that qualify for the 320 games and 1 between 260-320. So they'd have room for one more vet who has played more than 320 games.

The rumor that Kevin Roy will be signed, he would not count as a veteran. Between AHL and NHL, he's played less than 260 games.

If they sign Roy, the forward group is going to be absolutely stacked. Too much in fact not to affect the ice time of players like Teasdale, or RHP.

I wonder if they're planning to keep Vejdemo on NHL roster.

It will be really stacked.

Some guys may end up at 3R, which is why having an ECHL affiliate (particularly nearby) is such a positive.

Kevin Roy is the guy that went to Northeastern some years ago right ? I remember him, kinda small but fairly dynamic ( in college at least) .
