Bruins don’t get ESPN or TNT opening games. Just shows the lack of star power and how far they’ve fallen in terms of popularity.

The Disney Death March is back :help:

Thursday, February 24 @ Seattle
Saturday, February 26 @ San Jose
Monday, February 28 @ Los Angeles
Tuesday, March 1 @ Anaheim
Thursday, March 3 @ Vegas
Saturday, March 5 @ Columbus
And right after the Olympic break. Assuming we have several guys who go, they're going to be dead tired from travel. Potentially our entire top line, plus Krejci and McAvoy

While true it's right after the Olympic Break... Which is either very good or very bad, haha.

Saw that and only 3 times total

I really dislike these schedule where you have to play everyone. Id much rather play Montreal and Toronto 6 or 8 times per season.
Then we wouldn't know how our team matches up against other teams. It's good that we face every team at least once. Gives us a general idea of where we stand.

A few schedule thoughts:

- the Bruins play Carolina and then Florida twice in games 5-7. I think that will give us the first proper little assessment of where they are at with their 21/22 roster.

- Habs come to Boston on Nov 14. That'll be a big game. As long as fans are permitted at that point, I can imagine a raucous crowd looking forward to seeing the 'uppity' Cup finalists put back in their place.

- I think all, or nearly all the b2b's involve travel. Which I suppose is normal, and some are home and aways involving close teams like the NYs, but still, those will be a challenge.

- two long home stands. 6 games in mid-Jan, then 5 in late March. If the Bruins want to be in a good place in the standings, then I suspect banking a big haul of points in that stanza in Jan particularly will be important.

- as has already been mentioned, just that one brutal road trip through the west plus Columbus. Timing of it is especially rough, but it's also an opportunity. Covid-rules permitting, it could give the team an excellent chance to get back together and really bond after the break, and set themselves up for a strong run home like they did during the west coast trip in 2019. Of course it could also all go very wrong...

- the Kraken first comes to Boston on Feb 1.

- only 3 home and home doubles, I think. That's a shame. They're a good way of building a little instant rivalry and extra bite in games. Missed opportunity.

- will have to see which teams actually end up being good and bad, but based on 2021 form, it seems like the Bruins have a pretty good mix of alternating between playing stronger and weaker opponents. Not many occasions where they have a long tough grind against the Tampas of the league. Feels fairly balanced in that regard.
