I’m not worried about it. Plenty of academy players coming up, loans returning and our teams elite are all in their prime. Why would we need to keep buying players to block the young guys if we don’t need to? There’ll be opportunity to see if a buy is necessary. What’s the point of having elite youth if they never get a chance? Liverpool couldn’t really be in a much better position to start integrating top talents.

Almost 200k per week for Werner.

The speed up front is going to make us really dangerous now.

Not at striker. This isn’t blocking Elliot on the wing, Jones in midfield or Williams at right back. Liverpool don’t have a striker to block. It’s definitely not going to be Brewster.

Liverpool didn’t need a striker at 200k a week to be a backup.

they need a midfielder to play behind the top 3.

Someone like havertz..

That's why Werner never made much sense for Liverpool. Other teams were going to be able to guarantee more playing time and a bigger contract.

Exactly, I would have loved Werner to play cover for Sadio and Mo, but it would make sense money wise to pay a backup 200k a week

Chelsea trying to close the gap between the top 2 with that signing. Still think they should sign Onana as well.

That being said... LFC will miss Mane and Salah and Keita for more than a month in the middle of the season....

So much for that young revolution under Lampard  Everybody knew they were just hiding behind that transferban and now they are buying everything with two legs. Feel sorry for the kids.

Liverpool definitely need striker more than midfielder. We have midfielders. We don’t have attacking depth. Origi and Brewster are not enough in an AFCON season. Havertz would also be great but if LFC can’t afford Werner, they can’t afford Havertz.

To get there, we'd need to upgrade the back 4 and GK. It's a positive step though, especially since it sounds like a new LB is inevitable.

Havertz rumors value him at £50m
