Can't say I'm surprised that Pearl Jam canceled the first leg of their tour, but... man. Bummer.

Wonder what will happen to Bluesfest. At the very least you can imagine some of the acts will be cancelling like Pearl Jam has for their tour. Not sure the festival has the kind of pull to be able to completely reschedule like Coachella.

Bluesfest cancels 2020 edition due to COVID-19 | Ottawa Citizen

The news we knew was coming was finally made official on Tuesday. The 26th annual edition of the province’s biggest music festival, scheduled to take place July 9-19 at LeBreton Flats Park on the grounds of the Canadian War Museum, was called off.

And so begins the cancellation of festival season. So weird to see that picture of the huge crowd of unmasked people standing so close while watching the band. I guess since Germany has already cancelled this years Oktoberfest and New Orleans is already thinking they may cancel next years Mardi Gras, it starts to sink in that even re-opening economies will come back to a different place for a while. Guess i dont need to book vacation time for blues fest week this year.

Last time I went was for Rush... Hard to believe that was almost 7 years ago now...

Amazing show, and glad I made it out for that one, particularly now that Neil Peart has passed on.
