If they held on to his OHL rights, No......If they would have declared him as a defected draft pick and traded his rights or released him for next years draft they would have got a comp. pick at 21 the next year....

No, Totora & McBain like Nizhnikov & Hughes were consecutive no shows; pretty sure that teams are not compensated for that.
right, then McBain & Hughes were taken with comp picks and no compensation was given for not reporting. Teams are not compensated for second of consecutive no shows

Thanks for up date but play-offs starting now. That means some Minor Hockey players are finished hockey before February 1. This needs to be fixed.

no it doesn’t. If you lose in round 1 then you enter the ETA bracket round. The earliest a team could be done is Feb 28th
Kinda sucks there's not a lot of chatter about the draft, beyond Fantilli.
Saw Quinte play Oshawa and i'm still bullish on Owen Beck. Wakely looks like an ideal OHL player, and Matthews still a bit raw. First time seeing Christie and he wasn't super visible, but his game looked predicated on being slippery.

There’s tons of chatter, just not here.
I personally would say it’s fair to say this draft is deeper and stronger than last years draft. Let’s be honest... the 04s stole the show last season, between Wright and Fantilli. There’s lots more to be excited about, especially if you cheer for the USA.

There’s a ton going for him: gotta be the hardest working skill player off puck, has no real help on Whitby(all due respect to that team that I like quite a bit, but every other forward is complimentary), tons of skill and smarts, goes into dirty areas, Current production is great, lots of future projection because of his lack of present strength...I could see a GM falling in love with all that.

I can see it. So many Americans at the top and GTHL isnt nearly as strong as it usually is

Not that i dont appreciate this content but are the February OHL draft rankings coming out? Trend was usually around the 5th of the month it was released
