After being the 14th overall pick in 2016, Charlie McAvoy has developed into one of the top players in his draft class, and a major part of why Boston continues to be a contender. I’ve had Bruins fans hollering at me for years to “stop underrating Jack Studnicka” and those people only got more vindicated as he looked excellent as a rookie pro. There’s been enough jokes cracked about their 2015 draft to fill out a standup set, but it’s counter-balanced by the Studnicka pick, the Daniel Vladar pick and the young value they already have on the roster. I don’t see a ton of high-echelon talent coming outside Studnicka, but there are some players who can help fill out the lower half of their roster.
