I'd be satisfied with Rossi, but would put Drysdale/Raymond/Stutzle all ahead of him. I'd pray someone takes Rossi in the top-five so one slides.

Drysdale I don't see sliding past LA. They'll be looking for a Doughty replacement soon, and he seems like a good fit. Ottawa may even go Drysdale with one of their picks. I think the best hope for one of these guys to fall is for Ottawa to go off the board a little with one of their picks, like Lundell, or something.

Anaheim seems to draft savvily, and goes BPA usually. They'd likely go Raymond/Stutzle if they're there.

Ottawa drafts size. Even if Stutzle was the (clearly) better player, Ottawa would pick Byfield first. Anaheim values size, as well. With so many smallish forwards available it will be interesting, if one of Stutzle, Raymond, Perfetti or Rossi will slide.

rossi was getting comparisons to hischier. do we need another C? I really feel like we're hurting for someone who shoots first, a la holtz

You can never draft too many centers in my opinion, but also I don't think you ever look at a prospect for need unless you are completely barren at the position organizationally in some manner. Odds are that a lot of the guys in our pipeline are simply not going to be NHLers, much less good or competent ones. Just take who you like the most and let the cards fall where they may.

Well idk about position, but we are completely barren of shooters.

i think i would be fine with rossi at 6, if holtz falls to the 10th pick.

I'll be honest I haven't watched too much video of him, but his stats are obviously great and this breakdown makes them look even better.

it's just so weird though, like he doesn't seem electric from an eye test (at least, from the hlinka gretzky cup i saw). maybe he's just one of those effortless scorers?

but the two swedes (the terrible twins, apparently) definitely make me drool. get me one of em to line up w their fellow countryman in bratt

You mean the Hlinka Gretzky where he was the leader in points and goals?

Judging by his stats Perfetti has put up big numbers everywhere he has played. He is ranked highly by every scouting board and if we were to take him at say pick 6 I wouldn't be disappointed. They said his biggest knock is his skating but that he has some of the best hands in this entire draft with puck on his stick. If he can at least be an average skater in the NHL than I don't think it's going to really hinder how good he will be. His coach said he has some of the best edges in the ohl even though he isn't a speedster on the ice.

I think I would only be disappointed if we picked Perfetti Lundell or Sanderson when there are other guys still available
so you actually don't have him in the same tier with stützle, raymond, rossi, drysdale and holtz. i also wouldn't be excited about the perfetti myself. smalish, average skater. could be tough for him to replicate his numbers in the nhl.

I don't think I'd take Perfetti with the 6th pick, but there may be a real possibility he's still there at 10 in which case I'd definitely take him. Getting Holtz or Raymond at 6 and Perfetti at 10 would be amazing.

Is Perfetti a shooter? I think I remember reading that somewhere. If so, I wouldn't mind picking him at 10, although I have my heart set on Quinn at that pick.

Best shooters in this draft are probably Jack Quinn, Holtz and then Perfetti. Comes down to skating/motor and compete with Perfetti. Has all the top end skills like stick handling, playmaking and shooting to light it up. Him at 10 would be hard to pass up most likely.
