Is this defenseman from the US program worth picking at 6-9? Id imagine Jack probably has a good word or two to say about him and while I dont draft for need this early hes got decent size and a LHD who, if hes worth the pick, should be able to make the NHL in a years time

I hate how who we pick around 6-9 likely wont make the big club right away. Thats why id kill for the big boy at #2

Raymond, Holtz , Perfetti , Rossi maybe Drysdale...pick number 6 wont be an easy choice depending on who is left over but you gotta like the options.

my hope is that somehow Drysdale and a couple of the high end forward prospects are all there for the NJ pick so that the choice includes Drysdale. Whether they like someone else better is fine but I’m hoping it’s their choice.

Drysdale won't make it to us unless we win a lottery pick

No surprises but I asked Corey and he's under the impression that unless they're picking in the top-3, the Coyotes 1st round pick is ours this year.

Ya, I think that was only in question if they had gone to the old, single pick lottery system.

I own it, I wanted nolan

You're not alone in that.

If you recall, I was a bit combative with those who wanted Nico....much to my immense regret as Nico made me look foolish.

I haven't been so glad to be eating crow as when I ultimately saw how Nico and Patrick's careers are turning out thus far.

In this draft, any player we get would be a player I'm okay with so there won't be a repeat performance.

Looks like we will get a good player regardless of whether we are 6, 7 (most likely slot) or 8.

Senators odds of where they will pick.

The lottery is a little funny in that everyone is favored to lose but someone has to win.

The way I see it, we’re guaranteed a top #9 pick, two top #15 picks and tree top #20 picks, if the Yotes don’t win the lottery and the Canucks make the playoffs.

If the two conditions I stated are met, the rest of the other scenarios are all gravy from there.

Wheeler: Final ranking for the 2020 NHL Draft's top 100...

“There are eight, arguably nine, skaters who would be top-five selections in most other drafts, plus a goalie who deserves to go in the first round (something I’m rarely comfortable saying).”

It seems, to a lot of draft evaluators, that staying top 8 would be ok but if the Devils get pushed down to 9 then they’ve dropped to the next tier of players in some people’s minds.

Flip side, if Arizona ends up at 8 or 9, the Devils could get 2 picks from the third tier(top 5 talent guys) rather than just 1.

Edit: Wheeler wouldn’t find it odd to either of his 7th or 8th best players to be picked 3rd overall. That’s how close the talent is for him between 3-8.

Could you please post his top-10?
