listed at 6'1 and nearing 200lbs so I'd say so.
If we land him, he could definitely start on any of the top 3 lines.
Feel we have some fighters on the team that could protect him.

Huberdeau - Barkov - Tippett
Laf - ?? - Hoff/Dadonov
Vatrano - Acciari/Saarela - Connolly
Wallmark - Acciari - Sceviour

Don't know where or if Denisenko fits in, hoping the AHL season isn't cancelled?
Seems most 1st overalls of recent past start in NHL

My order of teams I would want Laf to go to:
1. Panthers (obviously)
2. Wild - they've never picked #1 overall IIRC and are the definition of mediocrity, they could use him
3. Jets - Not in our conference and are a smaller market as far as Canadian markets go
4. Preds - Not in our conference, and not higher because I wouldn't want to see him in those mustard yellow colors
5. Oilers - Self explanatory, they've already picked #1 overall enough
6. Rangers - Not in our division and don't have a huge history of picking high in the draft
7. Penguins - Not in our division, but after getting Crosby they've been spoiled
8. Leafs - In our division, already a spoiled market, and picked #1 overall somewhat recently, and it would be a get out of jail free card for the decision to commit half their cap space to 4 forwards

I wonder if he gets loaned back to KHL similar to what they're doing with Heponiemi, at least until NHL training camps open for next season.

Ya that makes sense, hoping he doesn't have to go back to KHL for full season because AHL is cancelled and only get 10 mins a game or scratched a 1/3 of the season.
Maybe bump Connolly up to 2nd and put Denny on the 3rd line if he does make Panthers roster and we don't re-sign Hoff/Dadonov?

I would have liked to see teams who failed in the qualifier and were not part of the top 8 teams going in with a higher probability of getting the #1 overall.

Why should a top 8 team fail in the qualifier receive the exact same odds?

I'm indifferent to him going to anyone but the Leafs, and probably Winnipeg, slightly don't want that to happen. Even then, the Leafs have got offensive players, that's not their problem. And I just don't like that Winnipeg team for some reason.

The Leafs don't have that option so if they don't get 1st, pick goes to CAR.

Kind of tired of these clauses to be honest. If I sold you a car and said, ya wait a year when it depreciates, would you be happy?
