that's the crappy side of the business of the game. He came off his 4 year rookie contract, yet no 5th year option picked up. But ends up with a franchise tag? I thought the 5th year option would be cheaper than the tag.

Career earnings through 5 seasons is about $25 million, so he has money. But an ACL to a LB/DE, he won't be ready for the start of next season. So, doubtful he sees a contract with term and guaranteed money.

Won't be with the Steelers either way, the cap situation pretty much guaranteed this was his last with the Steelers. The fact it took until his 4th year to play up to his talent pushed him to the back of the extension line.

Thoroughly unfortunate...that kind of injury at this moment in time likely cost him millions (potentially tens of millions in terms of non-guaranteed money).

So upsetting the way that things have gone for young top-notch Steelers linebackers. First Shazier a few years back, then Bush, now Dupree.

Highsmith is a quality LB and was going to replace Dupree.

Dupree, for years, was excellent at rushing the passer but couldn't slow the game down-the Rico Fata of Linebackers. I wouldn't be surprised if this injury means he is a steeler next season....

Didn’t look good when he went down.

waiting on KC RB CEE. Didn’t look good don’t expect him back until the playoffs at the earliest if at all. 2 more games plus a likely bye week gives him 4 weeks between games to heal if he is able to.

Doug said DeSean’s injury tightened up that’s why he didn’t see anymore targets.

Wow. Everything is coming up Jacksonville right now, they hold the Rams pick. Is John Wolford really the Rams backup QB?! I can't see ARZ losing next week to LA if he is playing.

Wow... that’s rough. Rams can still get in with a Bears loss. GB still needs to win to earn the bye. Still can’t wrap it up with a win tonight.

You know what sucks? Every year we get a team who loses their QB like right now who is trying to get in. Or is in.

this is one of those freak injuries. Just a follow through onto a helmet. Honestly, it's surprising that we don't see more of these types of injuries in a season. As well, given how violently DL chop down on a QB's arm, I am surprised that we don't see more elbow injuries to QBs.

Goff is apparently planning on playing through it.

Only silver lining for Rams fans is that the Cardinals defense is absolute garbage so they still have a chance to win.

Rams D has to dominate and lead them to victory. Expect a Rams fake on a punt/FG attempt. Have to pull out all of the stops.
Run the ball. Don't expect many 20 yard plus pass attempts.

AZ needs to stack the box and dare McVay to put the ball into Goff's injured thumb.

Frank Gore is out for week 17 with a lung contusion. Hope there’s no stat correction. He sits at exactly 16,000 career rushing yards.

So, the Rams will have...

No starting QB.
No #1 receiver.
A messed up RB situation.
Yet can still qualify if the Bears lose to GB who is in control of securing the only bye in the NFC.

not a great Situation but not 100% dire as they can back in.
