Paid up to get him.

With all of their day 3 picks they will have plenty of bodies at camp anyways. Teams only have a set amount of signing bonus money that they can pay all their udfa. So they can afford to dump most of it on one or two guys.

And the Eagles beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl with Nick Foles at QB in a game that set the league record for total offense, what's your point?

I am pointing at your implication that the Packers are one of the "dumb" teams based on your post on the last page of the previous thread.

Only last season, the 13-3 Packers did better in the post season than the 14-2 Ravens, who couldn't win a home playoff game against a Wild Card team that made the playoffs only two times in the last ten years. Last season was one of those two years for the Titans.

"There's a reason the Ravens are always good" is false as they really weren't that good in the playoffs last season, being a one and done team.

Patriots lost to the same team and played in 4 of the previous 5 Super Bowls winning 3.

Surprised the Vikings only traded two of the 13 picks they had yesterday but moved up a round for each next year. So good asset management there. Funny enough both picks they moved to next year were from the Diggs trade so that haul is now Justin Jefferson and 3 TBDs.

Of the day 2 picks I love what they did in round 4. Wonnum is a Hunter clone. Hopefully he can develop to be half as good. Lynch was BPA pick, but fills a need at 3-technique as well. Dye was another value pick. He can compete with Gedeon and Eric Wilson for starter in the base set. Of the RD5-7 picks Harrison Hand and Kenny Willekes stand out to me. Willekes could have went as early as RD4. Nate Stanley will be nothing more than a camp arm/Practice Squad. Probably not even as good as Jake Browning who they currently have for that.

I was begging them to pick Thaddeus Moss in RD7. Not just cause of his dad, but that's a value pick there as well. I know they have Rudloph and Irv Smith but Rudolph is getting old and he could have came in and competed with Tyler Conklin for the 3rd TE spot. Wound up signing with WAS though.

More upside than any UDFA IMO

Last two years at UW we’re injury plagued. Overall athleticism isn’t there to be a LT. Maybe his future is at RT.
Surprised Seattle didn’t land him. UW is right in Seattle so plenty of access to him over his college career. Plus they have a need at OT with Fant and Ifedi gone and Brown in his mid 30’s.

Finally Khalil Tate gets signed, weird spot for him though

Never know what the interest around the league is like for these UDFA. If the trend continues and starters do no play in pre-season or are in only for a few series in total, then teams will need the 3rd and 4th stringers to play half the games.

He's the 5th QB they have, although Wentz won't play much, if it all in pre-season. Teams always need arms to get through camp. Plus, NovaCare is a proclaimed quarterback factory

Professional virtue signaler Mike Florio insisted the NFL holding the draft virtually would still be worse than the NFL having games following the JFK assassination. Can't believe we're still here following the draft. :sarcasm:
