    Trade him to the Knicks.

He can then have late-night dinners with his buddies Durant and Irving after each other's games.

Philly reportedly has no interest in trading Simmons and they're now looking at Jrue Holliday instead.

Harden is totally going to end up in Brooklyn

It is being widely reported that Harden and Durant have been talking about Harden joining the Nets for several weeks.

I don't understand how NBA players don't get charged with tampering in these situations. The same as Leonard and George during the 2019 offseason.

The NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement clearly says (Exhibit A-24):

"(e) Any Player who, directly or indirectly, entices, induces, persuades or attempts to entice, induce, or persuade any Player, Coach, Trainer, General Manager or any other person who is under contract to any other Exhibit A A-25 Member of the Association to enter into negotiations for or relating to his services or negotiates or contracts for such services shall, on being charged with such tampering, be given an opportunity to answer such charges after due notice and the Commissioner shall have the power to decide whether or not the charges have been sustained; in the event his decision is that the charges have been sustained, then the Commissioner shall have the power to suspend such Player for a definite or indefinite period, or to impose a fine not exceeding $50,000, or inflict both such suspension and fine upon any such Player."

Tampering isn't a thing in the NBA save for that one time the league decided to penalize the Lakers for it, for god only knows what reason lol.

The NBA just doesn't care to enforce it.

I think it is because the NBA likes all of these super-teams forming because they believe it to be good for ratings.

So they don't do anything to try to stop it.

You can't prove it. Are they supposed to subpoena Kawhi or KD's phone records/texts? Nearly impossible to prove it.

Look at 2010. LeBron and Wade had talked about teaming up since 2007. Teams have come to accept the fact that most of the star players are friends and ultimately you want to team up with your friends.

Probably because Cuban complained, just like he did with the CP3 trade.

It sure seems like Hayward is gone whether it's via trade or him declining his option and just signing with the Hawks.

Fertitta is a real loser if this has any actual credence to it. Simmons+ is probably the best they can do and they won't even get that because baby had his feeling hurt.

****ing loser of an owner, man.

True, but Morey with his weird man-love for a player who consistently chokes in the playoffs is also a loser.

I know Morey LOVES James Harden, but haven't you seen enough of the guy to realize that he just doesn't have what it takes in the playoffs when it matters most?

He can still put up the gaudy numbers but there's just something that doesn't quite click for him in the playoffs. If I'm Morey, I'd be trying to take my shot with Embiid and Simmons.

why would philly trade simmons for harden, when the whole point of getting harden would be to contend for a title?

harden+embiid would be gone by round 2

Simmons can’t shoot for shit. The guy doesn’t even attempt jump shots, and is one of the worst free throw shooters as well. That severely limits the Sixers ability to go deep in the playoffs, and unlike Giannis (who is still not anywhere near as bad a shooter as Simmons), he isn’t elite enough in orher areas to make up for it. Embiid is 26, but he has a lot more wear and tear on his body than the average 26 year old; the sixers window is in the next 3-4 years. They don’t have time to wait for Simmons to get a jumpshot. Trading him and whatever necessary picks and young players for Harden makes a lot of sense.

Another reason why Simmons would need to be in the trade is that he would be pretty useless with James Harden being the primary ball handler.

    Something like:

    Simmons
    Thybulle
    Smith
    Horford
    2 1sts
    2 2nds

    For

    Harden
    Gordon

Makes a lot of sense for both teams.

Suddenly the Jrue trade looks a lot better

Another thing that went overlooked: Giannis and Bogdan are apparently good friends. Bogdan willingly signed an extension to get moved to the Bucks so I can't imagine Giannis would tell him to lock in without also doing the same.

He's staying and that's a W for the league as a whole imo

Harden makes the franchise a lot more money than Simmons ever would. Besides, Rockets have all the leverage here.

    Agreed. Kobe said it best.....

Kobe Bryant: Rockets can't win title with James Harden dominating ball

Well they did make the WCF final with Harden/D12 but I more or less agree. Can't win with the way Harden plays although he is an upgrade on Simmons.

If he was smart, he'd wait and see what happens. Clips looked like they would win the title after last years off season and look what happened.

As great as Harden is, you don't win titles with Westbrook or Harden. If people think the Nets are going to dominate if they get Harden, they'll be in for an awakening. Durant is a whiner, that needed a 73 win team to help him win championships. Westbrook the exact same, but minus the winning part. These are guys that are beyond ego driven, haven't been nor will they ever be leaders. You can throw Kyrie into that equation as well.

Sources are saying the Thunder are now shopping both Ricky Rubio and Kelly Obure for more f***ing draft picks.

Presti can't be stopped. He's a mad man who hungers for picks.
