Dergachyov forever.

I don't think he ever comes to NA. But I LOVED him after the draft, he was a 'stereotypical king,' a boards bulldozer with some decent hands. I figure he'd fit in well with this crowd and would rank at least a tad higher if there were no risk but he got absolutely BURIED on the depth chart for years so it didn't look like he had developed much (as is typical with our Russian prospects, blecch.).

But he's absolutely tearing it up this year, 10 points in 19 games. But if he doesn't come over NEXT season, I'm not counting on it. Bummer because he's a HUGE dude that would at least be nice to put down there with Lizotte.

That battle shift with Nurse is one of my favorite hockey highlights of the last decade

He looks great and he’s strong on the wall and down low. His mixture of strength, good hands and what appears to be good wheels looks to me like it would translate to NA nicely but I cannot see him ever coming over. A bit of a shame but it’s like Prokhorkin, he needs to have come over already to adapt to the NA game.
