+ David Hrenak (last time I'm adding a player. the rest will be HMs)

Only players who are eligible for the 2021 Calder trophy. Calder eligibility is defined as:
- No older than 26 years old as of September 15th, 2020
- Has not played in more than 25 games in one season or more than 6 games in two consecutive seasons (making Cal Petersen, Carl Grundstrom, Sean Walker, and Matt Roy exempt)

We'll do this for as long as you all want, either you want to stop or we run out of options. As of the No 27 poll, a lot of people have suggested cutting it at 30, so there will be no more additions.

Daniel Brickley
Mikey Eyssimont
Bokondji Imama
Drake Rymsha

Lee or Meehan here for me, went Meehan because I think he dropped due to getting injured, not because of a lack of tools.

If we're cutting it early, I'm leaving the Russians off. I believe in their abilities but not in their motivations.

I'll go with Meehan. Along with the above the staff was absolutely alight with that pick. Seems like some major upside for a deep pick.

Completely honest here, I have been following the last 7 or 8 here just to see who comes in last.

My guess is Brickley, as I doubt his rights are even Kings property next year.

Rymsha probably ends up being last. I’m not even counting the Russians. Brickley, Eyssimont, Phillips, Strand and Imama probably aren’t Kings property next season.

Yeah, I mean of the four not even added, I think Eyssimont at least has an extremely outside chance of some NHL time, Imama can punch faces, and Brickley has tools but has had a rough go and appears to not be able to put it together here in a timely manner. But Rymsha...man, that guy hasn't done a thing. Kind of disappointing because I thought he'd at least establish himself as a toolsy bottom sixer but he doesn't even seem to be capable of that.

I had much higher hopes for Phillips than he's shown thus far. I went with Meehan here. Here's some notes from Hoven: LA Kings Select Ben Meehan No. 140 – What You Need to Know

From The Draft Analyst

A physical two-way defender with an aggressive mindset in all three zones, Meehan is a 2001-born native Baystater committed to UMass-Lowell. He is incredibly active in the offensive zone, where he activates like mad to keep plays alive. Meehan spends a chunk of time near or below the circles, and he uses fluid backskating to retreat back to his point position. Most of his reads are smart and timely but he also has the confidence to corral the puck and walk it away from pressure.
From Hockey Prospect

He maintains good stick positioning and proper gaps. Early on, he seemed like much more of an offensive defenseman but rounded into a more all-around player. He didn’t chase the game around so much and it gave us more confidence in his hockey sense. Meehan displays some good skills from his own zone. There’s enough to his stickhandling skills and lateral movement that make him a really good option on breakouts and even carrying the puck across a line, maybe a line and a half. There’s a dual threat there for the first forechecker to ponder and Ben can freeze
him just long enough for his skating to take over and achieve a clean exit. He has some good wheels on him, he’s strong multi-directionally with a sound stride. In his own zone, he displays some pretty advanced box-out principles and can wall-off potential screeners from his goalie’s vision.

Please go until #40!!!! Thanks!!!

EDIT: See......'cuz, with the Covid around, there's a lot less to do. Therefore, we'd get about 10 more days of indoor entertainment & whimsy if this list went to 40!!!!!
