I will make a thread every day until we have determined the top 20 prospects according to Leaf fans on HFBoards for I think my 10th straight year. The criteria for a prospect will be loosely based on Calder eligibility. There may be a couple that slip through the cracks the first few posts because I am not perfect. Also please let me know if I have someone listed that is no longer with us, or any omissions. Comprehensive prospect lists are a little harder to find than you'd think this time of year.

Rankings:
1. Rasmus Sandin -- 48.4%
2. Nicholas Robertson -- 83.5%
3. Timothy Liljegren -- 53.8%
4. Rod Iron Amirov -- 94.3%
5. Mikhail Abramov -- 36.5%
6. Filip Hallander -- 32.4%
7. Yegor Korshkov -- 47.2%
T-8. Joey Anderson -- 27.7%
T-8. Nick Abruzzese -- 27.7%
10. Roni Hirvonen -- 45.6%
11. Topi Niemela -- 40.7%
12. Mikko Kokkonen -- 42.6%
13. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev -- 26.2%
T-14. Filip Kral -- 22.5%
T-14: Joe Woll -- 22.5%
16. Mac Hollowell -- 18.5%
T-17. William Villeneuve -- 24.6%

Would love to hear some perspective on Rindell especially vs. Kokkonen. I know Rindell is a year older, but his season last year will probably be more impressive than Kokkonens this year. Rindell has also had a lot better start. Is Rindell just a tire fire defensively? Kokkonen went 12th and Rindell probably wouldn't go until 25.

I also don't really like including goalies in these polls which is the reason I haven't voted for one yet.

Ian Scott I guess. The lost year and potential of not knowing when the hell he's going to be playing again because pandemic scares me, but his last tangible results were excellent. Hope we don't have to wait another year to see the next ones.

Also the damn ties are making Schenn's life too easy getting to skip polls. Come on guys, make up our minds

I really think Kara, Koster, and Rasanen should be in these polls though. Not sure why we're getting less poll options towards the end when the polls get more wide open. More people are going to get votes at 19 than at 1 for instance.

I don't think I'm going to end up voting for him in any poll but I wouldn't even bat an eye if Kara was in the poll and went here.

Brazeau's 55 pts in 57 games and hasnt moved to main list. Surprised

Other than his skating, he's done well at every level he's played. According to an Athletic article I read JB is a good kid, works hard, know's him limitations and strengths, and understands the work he has to put forth to improve on what he's got. I expect a couple of years with Underhill while on the Marlies will give us a better idea of what this kid may turn out to be like. If he can develop a stride that allows him to move better - apparently his straight ahead speed is ok - than we may have a sneaky good surprise on our hands.

To be fair, 7 players on that ECHL team scored at a higher rate than him, one of them being a defenseman, and all but the defenseman aren't even included in the "next on the list" section.

While it’s likely that he and his agent would allow the Leafs to match any ELC offers he gets, there is nothing binding.

Brazeau is free to sign with any team he wants.

If his skating is a weakness that needs to be addressed, is there a skating coach (with another team) better than Barb U who could advance his stride to NHL competency? I'm not sure another organization has a full time coach in this area, my ignorance being quite broad in scope. I'd think he'd have to consider sticking with the Leafs if his upside is more adequately addressed here than elsewhere.
