It's that time of year again, glad to be doing this for I believe the 11th straight year... maybe 10.

I will make a thread every day until we have determined the top 20 prospects according to Leaf fans on HFBoards for I think my 10th straight year. The criteria for a prospect will be loosely based on Calder eligibility. There may be a couple that slip through the cracks the first few posts because I am not perfect. Also please let me know if I have someone listed that is no longer with us, or any omissions. Comprehensive prospect lists are a little harder to find than you'd think this time of year.

Suggest who I should add next, and who needs to be removed. :D

Also **** Kyle Dubas for drafting so many players with tough names.

I have Stotts, Greenway, Aaltonen, on here. Do we still own any of their rights? I don't think so..

Also does Kivihalme belong here? Or too old now?

Robertson over Sandin? I'm curious what people project Robertson to be, 1st line winger, 2nd line winger or 3rd line winger? I have him between 2nd to 3rd line, so I have Sandin higher

It depends on the poll, highest value? If it’s highest value I’d have to say Sandin.

Robertson is going to be good but his potential isn’t as high

Robertson's a significantly better prospect than Quinn, who just went 8th OA to Buffalo. Has to be him I think - if all goes perfectly (albeit still very unlikely), he could be a perennial 40-50 goal scorer. Sandin might be a safer bet to be a high-level player, but I don't think his upside is quite as enormous.

I'd argue the opposite is true. Robertson has the potential to become a star forward who can score 30-40 goals (maybe higher? keeping expectations in check). Sandin I'm pretty positive will be a top 4 dman, but I'm not sure he has a ceiling like Robertson.

Sandin's absolute ceiling is probably a bit higher and as an organization we need him to hit more than we need Robertson to.

Having said that, I'm still going Robertson.

No we do not own Aaltonen's rights and he is too old. Also, we let go of Stotts's rights. However, JD Greenway is still our property.

Man our prospect pool is pretty good, especially for the level of our team.

Voted Sandin.

Add Joseph Woll next then one of William Villeneuve, Ian Scott, Filip Kral, Veeti Miettinen or Dmitri Ovechinnikov

Sandin's got the personality/compete/brain and enough skill to possibly become a great 2nd pairing defender IMO. A little slight to be a defense stud.
Robertson is going to score and seems to have a great internal drive. Not great with the puck yet but I think he'll do the work.

I'm torn. Both are very good. Tie goes to the defenseman.

Dubas has built a pretty promising prospect pool gotta give him that.

Sandin, Robertson, Hallinder, Amirov are all potential top 6/top 4 d potential players.

Hopefully atleast 2 of SDA, kokkenen, hirvonen, abramov, niemela work out for us and dubas drafting strategy end up paying off

The only disapointing picks for dubas so far have been Durzi, SDA( still not a complete disapointment just D+1 sucked) and Stotts. Everyone else was a 6th/7th rounder who realistically werent expected to be nhlers
