I don't think Mexico is able to go up again, Iceland and even Bulgaria should challenge them.
From Group B, Australia probably gets to the final, maybe Turkey as a contender..

I expect Bulgaria to take this group. Their U20 team basically had training camp in form of pre-olympic qualifires in Sisak month ago. They didn' look that bad considering they were so much younger than the rest.

Iceland beats Bulgaria 4-3. Shots 45-18!

But:
59:42 Bulgaria equalises with 2 man advantage (delayed penalty and without goalkeeper)
59:59 Iceland scores the gamewinner.

:)

Yeah that's the gold medal team I think.
Saw the game and they were all over Bulgaria, not seeing Australia as very dangerous for them too.
But anything can happen at this level so....

Looks like Australia and Turkey won their games today to go to 2 and 0 each. Got to think Australia's one of the favorites here.

Not an upset, odds for Iceland were like 6 to 1. And at this level, if even bookmakers know it's not an upset - it's not an upset.

Looks like Iceland's the first team through to the playoff round. Will be interesting to see how far they go. For me this is Iceland, Mexico or Australia's tournament to lose.

I mean shots in Iceland - Mexice game were 33-11. Hard to imagine Mexico mounting any kind of challenge.

They got properly whooped by both Iceland and Mexico, barely beating New Zealand by 1 goal. Not a great display.

Maybe Australia will mount more of a challenge for them but so far Iceland just steamrolled everyone.

Looking at both rosters, past results etc. those seem like 2 very even teams. Will be interesting to see.

Axel Orongan looks like a solid prospect for Iceland.
Well, let's not overstate the big-fish-in-small-pondness of this. Still just a kid, but he's playing in the fourth tier of Swedish hockey, and not exactly lighting the world on fire there. He is certainly the best player in this tournament, but these are ... not great teams.

I didn't mean he'd conquer the world, but for Iceland he's certainly a player who makes the national team better. ;)
