I was more surprised by Heath Bell. The guy had two good years. At least Putz was solid for a long time, but he wasn’t exceptional by any means.




I’ve always held that average offensive players do not belong in the Hall unless they have Ozzie Smith level greatness at defense. Vizquel wasn’t that good defensively and Ozzie was significantly better offensively than Vizquel offensively too.



There are worse humans than Schilling in the Hall of Fame. Schilling belongs despite how much of a loudmouth buffoon the guy is.

Don't forget fraudster.

All Star games are popularity contest and Jeff Kent wasn't really a popular dude.

At least thats my guess.

ESPN put out their All MLB team this year, but even that is taken with a grain of salt right now. MLB is still light years behind the other big 3 when it comes to being a modern sport.

Some of these HOF voters are stupid, revoke their ballots.

Please save some ire for the Tony La Russa-led ol' boys 'Era' committee, who have shat the bed worse than the writers ever did. (And I expect they'll do so again.)
