I'm not high on Barron. Another Tinordi type. Big boy that skates well on the back end but I question his vision and I don't think he can quarterback a PP

Perfetti is a beast. I’d love for the Habs to get him.

Not surprised though. The habs really learned their way that pure elite talent with some skating deficiency can succeed in the NHL. I.E. Suzuki and Giroux (a player they also targeted)

Elite talent, but most importantly sky high IQ.

If my limited french is correct.

Says the habs have met with Perfetti twice and in this guy's opinion, the habs will select him if they don't draft top 3.

Hopefully I'm right for those who don't speak French. However, I'm nor sure who this person is and if they're even credible

The other thing to consider here is that they may have met without other prospects a couple of times too. We had dinner with brady Tkachuk and still took KK.

Sounds like there's interest but that doesn't mean he is their top guy.

Chatham, New Jersey native Alex Laferriere had a big season with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL, getting the attention of hockey prospect watchers. He scored 19 goals and 26 assists for 45 points in 42 games before the season was halted due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Laferriere also played six games for Team USA at the 2019 World Junior A Hockey Championships in December, winning a silver medal.

In 2018-19, Laferriere played 12 games for Des Moines but did not record a point. He spent most of the season playing high school hockey on the prep school circuit, representing Kent School. He scored 19 goals and 34 assists for 53 points in just 27 games. Laferriere was named to the US High School – Prep All Founders League Team. Laferriere is committed to attending Harvard University, playing for the Crimson in 2021-22. It is expected that he will spend one more season with Des Moines before joining Harvard. He should be one of the best players in the USHL next year. In 2017-2018, Laferriere led his North Jersey Avalanche team to the AYHL National Under-16 Championship. His father, Rob Laferriere, played for Princeton and Harvard in the 1990s.

Alex Laferriere Scouting Report: 2020 NHL Draft #89

Drafted by the Regina Pats in the fourth round of the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft, Tristen Robins would play just one game as an underage player for Regina before being traded to the Saskatoon Blades at the 2018 WHL Trade Deadline. With Regina loading up as hosts of the 2018 Memorial Cup, and Saskatoon continuing their rebuild, the trade was a classic example of a team giving up future production in an attempt to win Major Junior Hockey’s biggest prize. The trade would eventually pay off for the Blades. This year, in his second full WHL campaign, Robins had a breakout year. He put up 33 goals and 40 assists for 73 points in 62 games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last season, the Brandon, Manitoba native put up just nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 66 regular-season games with limited ice-time. He would go on to add three goals and one assist for four points in 10 WHL Playoff Games. Before coming to the WHL, Robins played his midget hockey for Rink Hockey Academy Prep School in the CSSHL. In 2017-18 he scored 20 goals and 54 points in just 31 games.

They also had dinner with KK... So maybe that's how they made the decision? Which meal they ordered was possibly the deciding factor.
