Interesting on the risers. As well as both Lundell and Holloway slipping a bit. Mysak nowhere to be found.

I may be in the minority, but if the Rangers secure another mid first rounder, I would easily look at Schnieder.

Schneider over Guhle, IMO.

Yup.

Though to be fair, I probably should've said xenophobia.

Look, I understand wanting a specific North American player because you have seen more of him and feel more confident in that player's potential, but these blanket statements of "We should draft North Americans" is pissing me off so much.

I would never want us to draft a European player just for the sake of them being European. Give me Perfetti over Lundell for instance.

Currently Drysdale is the 3rd ranked NA Skater from Central Scouting, and the top Dman by most accounts coming out of this years draft. Not sure how bad this will hurt him.

Good stuff. I'm still of the opinion that we need a north american center though

Damn. Not cool.

Definitely changing the subject.

My biggest risers based on play I’ve watched since the WJC are:

Martin Chromiak
Topi Niemela
Daniel Torgersson
Brendan Brisson

If we pick up a late 1st or mid 2nd, these guys would be rising names I’d keep an eye on. Chromiak and Niemela in the 1st, Torgersson and Brisson in the mid 2nd.

2020 NHL Mock Draft | 2020 NHL Draft | NHL Draft

1 (10) C/LW: Dylan Holloway (CAN)(6'0"/191lbs., Shot: Left, U. of Wisconsin/NCAA)

2020 NHL Mock Draft - NHL - DraftSite.com

1 (11) C/LW: Dylan Holloway (CAN)(6'0"/191lbs., Shot: Left, U. of Wisconsin/NCAA)
3 (73) D: Daemon Hunt (CAN)(6'0"/198lbs., Shot: Left, Moose Jaw/WHL)
3 (87) RW: Maxim Groshev (RUS)(6'1"/194lbs., Shot: Left, Nizhnekamsk/KHL)
4 (104) D: Nathan Schweitzer (USA)(6'0"/185lbs., Shot: Right, Benilde-St. Margaret's/HS-MN) *21/22 Colorado College Commit*
5 (135) RW: Alex Young (CAN)(5'9"/180lbs., Shot: Right, Canmore/AJHL) *20/21 Colgate U. Commit* *Overage +1*
6 (166) RW: Robbie Fromm-Delorme (CAN)(6'1"/176lbs., Shot: Right, Portland/WHL)
7 (197) RW: Josh Lawrence (CAN)(5'6"/165lbs., Shot: Right, Saint John/QMJHL)
7 (198) D: Daniel Baker (CAN)(6'3"/182lbs., Shot: Left, Medicine Hat/WHL) *Overage +1*
7 (205) C: Yegor Kuzminov (RUS)(5'8"/180lbs., Shot: Left, Moscow/MHL)

Holloway is good at No. 11, but passing on Gunler might not be ideal. Hunt is okay as a 3rd round pick, but I really like Groshev at that spot. Think Groshev is underrated, been consistently playing in the KHL. I see him in the mid 2nd, ATM. Schweitzer is a good gamble in the 4th round. Young could be a reach, but there has been recent success for NYR by taking players in college feeder leagues. Delorme is okay, I can get behind what he could possibly do next season in a D+1. Don't think Lawrence gets drafted for the obvious. Baker is intriguing. Don't think Kuzminov gets drafted, however, I haven't seen much of him.

Thoughts?
