Welcome to the new seasonal thread for NASCAR and the new look for the overall thread title.

@MiamiScreamingEagles please lock the 2019 season thread that was stickied at your earliest convenience.

Congratulations to 2019 Series Champions: Kyle Busch , Tyler Reddick, and Matt Crafton....

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr/Alex Bowman are on the front row for the Daytona 500; Justin Haley and Brendan Gaughan were the 2 fastest of the non-chartered "open"cars, and will race in Daytona.

the Blugreen Vacations Duel at Daytona will follow the 2 opening practices for the GRVOTS tomorrow on FS1, THIS WILL SET the balance of the field outside of the 4 who are locked in in the previous post above;

the Busch Clash returned following Daytona Qualifying , Sunday as Erik Jones outlasted the 18 car field after 3 overtimes;

Daytona Media Day is currently on FS1 until 3 pm

XFINITY will have 40 entries at Daytona and GRVOTS has 41 entries; XFINITY has capped their field at 36, the Trucks will only run 32 , so 13 teams in those 2 series will not race; 16 teams will not compete if they don't qualify, as only 43 entered the Cup race, and three will go home from Speedweeks after the Duels

Do you have a schedule of events to add to the opening post?
that will usually come closer to the weekend because between the Stages and race events, essentially with the all 3 series competing..... I just wanted to get a general consensus opening thread post, for those fans who aren't used to having a direct thread to post.... anyone is welcome to post comments, pictures as we begin....

believe me, the race posts are coming..... just not all in a single post

^ I meant a schedule for the entire year. What races will be held on which dates?
ok, the only break you're going to see is from late July through much of August, because NBC has the Olympics tied up through the majority of their networks likely after the what traditionally would've been Michigan's 2nd Date..... the other is Pocono's successive race dates instead of the 6 week break in between those.....

other dates were flipped back or forward.... Atlanta was pushed back after the traditional Vegas/Phoenix/Fontana weeks; Homestead is now earlier than it was, which was posted in the previous thread around July of 2019....

I never post a master schedule of dates, because you'll know when the track sponsor and race thread posts get posted

Nice to see the typical idiots are still doing what they do best.

Newman took a hit directly to the driver's side while still flipped upside down. This looks really bad.
That replay was horrible. That impact couldn't have been any worse.... probably close to 200mph to the driver side while upside down.

I hope Newman is still alive. I'm fearing the worst though. Shades of Dale Earnhardt comes rushing back.

I don't know if it was just me, but the looks on the faces of Gordon and Joy was pretty telling to me. I hope I'm wrong.
