We have a trade to announce...

:leafsacquire:
- F Collin Adams
- C Mason Jobst

:isles acquire:
- F Kenny Agostino
- F Kalle Kossila

PRESS STATEMENT

Long Island, New York-

"I've got a place in my heart for the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and I know the challenges Kyle has had to face in a very, very, very demanding climate," started trade-busy Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello. "With a move like this, the Leafs get to part with a few non-essential pieces that we're hoping will help our organization at one level or the other while getting a very promising and yet unsigned college prospect and someone who should be in for a big second season as a pro. After losing Koivula, we - well, my son - wanted to regain some of that Finnish pizzazz and Agostino is a guy who should make Barry's decisions difficult now that we've reshuffled our oh so important lower lines a bit over the course of the weekend."

And that's it for Toronto's draft!!

2nd (52nd) - Emil Andrae, LD
4th (114th) - Kasper Puutio, RD
5th (152nd) - Ivan Didkovsky, LW
6th (159th) - Theo Rochette, C
6th (175th) - Brady Burns, C
6th (176th) - Declan McDonnell, LW
6th (182nd) - Yegor Guskov, G
7th (189th) - Mark Hillier, C
7th (204th) - Stepan Steshenko, LW
7th (216th) - Charlie Desroches, RD

I definitely took a lot of swings for the fence, and there's a good chance we strike out, but with a very bottom heavy draft pick collection, I felt taking some risks was worthwhile. I also apparently channeled my inner Kyle Dubas and took a fairly small group of players! (5'9", 6'0", 5'10", 5'10", 5'10", 5'10", 5'11", 6'0", 6'1", 5'10") Oops!

It will also take several years to fully realize this group of players, with half of them committed to college or to Europe for the foreseeable future.

What's nice though, (while it is unfortunate I had to get rid of some roster players), is I was able to get a number of on-the-rise NCAA players that will be looking to turn pro in 1-2 years in Jack McBain, Curtis Hall, Linus Weissbach, Collin Adams, and Filip Lindberg, to help fill in that gap, and I very much consider them as part of my draft haul.

We look forward to publishing our development camp invite list after the last pick!

Thanks once again to @Ristostadt for an amazing draft!

Sorry about that, I didn't know anyone in this range (Dmitri Sheshin was my pick), so I needed some time to think of someone else.

:bruins

With the last pick of the entire draft, the Bruins select D Alec Belanger

'twas a blast, thanks for hosting @Ristostadt

Just for the info, Belanger is primarily a winger.
