Considering how the lines as we know them haven't worked in weeks, blending things up is nice to see. Gotta try something, even if it means demoting your captain to the 4th line.

I like this. Would probably swap Kero and Dickinson but it's not bad. Pavelski and Kiviranta could work well with Radulov, too once he's ready to return.

Any speculation on Radulov still being called "day-to-day" after not playing for 3 weeks? Seems like an awfully long sit for someone who is merely "day-to-day".

I miss him and Pavelski bum-rushing the start of the season, but maybe this will pay off by diversifying the scoring a little. Optimism is dumb.

Well he's on IR and not on the roster so this is just the Stars not willing to share information about whats going on with Rads.

Bowness said "don't except him to play the next little bit". Sounds more like week to week than day to day.

Short answer to how this breaks down: they're going to need to start experimenting with maintenance days. This is far more intense than the bubble's schedule.

Unfortunately this season is seeming more and more like a write-off with injuries and the massively condensed schedule.

Yep, not looking good.

But at the same time, would there be a way to fit a cap hit like Eric Staal in the lineup? Like, the trade would need to happen tout suite though to have a chance at being effective.

Cogliano is the same cap hit....
Yes they could make it happen even retaining scrubliano but they won't

Cogliano has a 6 team NTC . Very likely he's not agreeing to go to Buffalo . It's allways very high on those type of lists.

Matthew DeFranks is eating Saad Yousuf's lunch in terms of covering the Stars as an organization. He's active on Twitter, compiling prospect videos, and just overall seems to be going above and beyond.

Losing Shapiro has been a disaster for coverage at The Athletic.

I mean he hasn't had a lot to right about with the recent pauses to both Texas and Dallas.

Agreed. Shapiro seemed to go so much more in depth giving interesting stories on individual players. Maybe Saad needs more time to build these relationships, but Sean is seriously missed at this point

Doing it in the post-game interviews on zoom as well.

Keep in mind the current setup has the media very separate from the teams. The beat writers get no time with players or coaches.
