I basically just plugged this exact roster in capfriendly and it won't fit under the cap.

My considerations - Patrick @ $1.5M, Myers @ $2.5M, Elliott @ $2M.

Comes in at ~$750k over the cap.

Yeah, no. I'm sure Elliott is a good dude and all, but that's a big pay cut.

And if he walks, good luck finding a competent backup for $1.2M.

In all honesty I think their will be a mlb expanded taxi squad type of thing, in which the players on the taxi don’t count toward cap unless they are on the active roster. It will make the teams and players both happy.

Then you can rotate Raffl/JVR/Frost/Patrick/Lindblom to start the year until injuries happen

Look at the goalie market including UFAs, RFAs who might move, and trade possibilities. It's what they call a glut.
