'shopped?

Unless that's from warmup. Looks great, though.

Kraken mock up from Verbero Hockey. I remember they tried making a splash in the NHL a few years ago with skaters, signed a few guys to endorsement deals and a few sported their gloves.

Any idea on this guys? A goalie I played with wore a mage and loved it. Why aren’t they allowed if that’s true?

I also think it's banned now and you can only wear it for non-games. His sole NHL game for the leafs, he wore a standard mask. He still has mage for practices.

Btw, Kaskisuo has an excellent youtube channel where he gives lots of details about life as a goalie in the NHL and AHL and he specifically tells a lot about his gear.

Damn, those are some old ass Bauer pads

Those look like the Reactor 6000's which I believe came out in like 2013/2014, haven't seen Reactor in the NHL for a while. Respect for rocking the older shit though.
They’re actually the new Bauer digital print. That’s a flat pad, the graphic is printed on.

Good eye. I wonder why he's using that graphic, so odd...

Makes me wonder if the skaters I see using old stick graphics are just paint jobs or actual old sticks like Shea Weber using the Bauer TotalOne NXG or Mikhail Sergachev using the CCM RBZ revolution, or Crosby using the Originail Ricore Reckoner...

Nostalgia, imitating his old heroes... Damn, feels like yesterday when I was spraypainting my pads for street hockey to look like Hasek's when I was 8 years old

No idea what those pads "actually" are underneath the graphics, but that particular look is a lot older than 2013/14 - Looks like a remake of the old Cooper/Bauer Reactor 5's (he's even got the 5 graphic on the top knee roll!) which was popular in the late 90's / early 2000s.

Dominik Hasek famously wore those pads. As did Curtis Joseph, Ed Belfour, Tommy Salo, Shtalenkov, and I'm sure others who I'm forgetting. :thumbu:

Yeah you are definitely right, that graphic is way older. Mike Richter was also a big Cooper and then Bauer guy once they were acquired and wore those Reactors for years.
