There's never been another power forward who didn't develop a midrange jumper until midway through his career?

The dude is a product of dominating a transitional period in the NBA. He'd get shattered in the paint in prior generations and can't hang beyond the arch now.

He's a product of a combination of his IQ, generation, and genetics.

I think Kobe was talented enough and intelligent enough that he would have turned himself into an elite three-point shooter if that's the way the game was going during his era.

Pretty sure he is talking Lebron.

A ridiculous take imo, but pretty sure it's what he meant.

Damn Shaq. That was heartwrenching

This just killed me. :(

It puts things into a clear perspective to always cherish your time on Earth and your family as well 'cause you never know when your time comes.

I just wish Kobe's time came after he became old and gray like in his late 80s or something and not due to a friggin' Pilot Error.

This f'n sucks.

Really REALLY f'n sucks.

And on top of that, his wife lost not only her husband but her Daughter as well.

I just....have nothing else left to say on this.

Top three to me would be Kareem Magic and Kobe. I can see arguments for any of them as the best one. Really a great tradition on that team.
Magic, Wilt, Kareem, Malone, West, Shaq, Baylor, Kobe, Lebron, Malone...

Granted, a few of those were past their prime, but I'd guess only the Yankees or maybe the Canadiens can hold a candle to that sort of star power

Guess the Nets didn't want the Knicks to get all the tire fire headlines this week

Duke and Kansas have withdrawn from March Madness and most conference tournaments have been canceled, it’s over.

Rutgers b-ball get's the 49th ranked recruit in the country, a 6'11" big man with a 7'5" wing span by the name of Cliff Omoruyi.

This to complement a team that won 20 games this year, returns 4 starters, loses only 2 contributors total, returns a very good big man who will be a Jr next year, and just brought in a play making pg last year who, imo, will complement the new big man quite well.

Have never seen a time like this in RU basketball.

Good for them. They deserve good news after losing this promising season.

What does it say about the NBA and its players that comments like (loosely translating here) ‘the hotline to report people breaking rules at the bubble is for snitches’

The same league who had multiple players saying that theyd rather go out and do their thing then be cooped up in a bubble area when they can be paid to skip

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

Well the NBA has actually managed to have some scrimmages in their bubble. NO played BKN tonight. NO beat up on the Nets. It was weird and had a different atmosphere than a summer league game even though the NBA regulars played some minutes. It gives me hope the NHL will actually be able to pull off its games.
