Some of the Avs fans wanted to draft Armia years ago
Armia is an interesting case. When he was drafted, he was being treated as a future top-6 winger. Well that didn't happen, but instead he reinvented his whole game and became a bottom-6 shutdown/PK specialist with some puck skills to show when needed. And he has managed to make a career out of that. These are great stories IMO. Such a shame that he's had some unfortunate injuries, this concussion being the latest...

Bold move for wpg to push for a trade for a star player who clearly wants to control where he plays, that should end well if it ends up being the jets.

Who the hell is on the table for the Anaheim offer? Gotta be Zegras as the main piece?

St Louis, Lecavalier, and Richards were elite for him in Tampa and he won a Cup (he was a key reason those players ended up elite... especially Vinny). Gaborik was the best player he ever was under Torts and they nearly went to the Cup finals there (with Richards and Hank). His history has more results than Bednar, by a good margin.
Would you prefer him this season, over Bednar though?

Bednar has earned the chance to lead this team to a Cup. Unless the Avs are just terrible in the regular season, he should be allowed to ride out the season. Next year would then depend on the playoffs, a loss in round 1 and I’d send him packing. Maybe even round 2. The expectations are getting pretty high here.

You think PLD is going to Winnipeg, Montreal or Anaheim?
