He definitely wants another shot at the NHL . Doubt he cares if its Dallas or elsewhere.

Noticed scherbak had 2 goals and 9 shots tonight. 8 points in 8 games now. Is he looking like he may one day have an opportunity w Dallas at some point, even if not til next year?

If he keeps it up it is definitely not out of the realm of possibilities.

He simplified his game and played well within the system but "defensive machine" is an exaggeration. He was the player Canada needed in that tournament, but it wasn't some herculean defensive performance.

One thing you have to consider is , he is playing on the top pair and his partner is cecconi who was a rookie himself last season .
