I think that's true to a certain extent, but 150 is a bit of a stretch. Not all the taxi squad guys would be considered the best options as many of the better players would be left in the AHL for development, and there's also a contingent of quality OHL players that are playing who would never have been in the AHL this year

Ya I got that and he should then be a free man to play pro hockey, if he was a kid in the CHL and did not sign a contract to play as a 19 year old for them no one owes them anything.
And other sports should not be allowed to sell kids

Many sports teams and leagues create contract agreements that tie the player to the team and league. The contract agreement terms are sanctioned by governments. Human rights are sometimes lessened by such agreements and sanctions.

Definitely would have been better than Tierney. That was pretty disappointing. All that time with him leading up to the opportunity and Tierney takes his place.

Ridiculous. What exactly suggests that Chlapik would have even be comparable to Tierney? His stellar NHL or minor league production? The big impact he made during his extended looks in Ottawa?

He's just another 2nd round pick that didn't pan out.

Chlapik was another one of those players that we were hoping could make the jump, but reality set in & as it turns out it was just wishful thinking on our part.

He had upside. Didn't realize it. Was a good pick at the time. His value went up and then back down. In theory it's best to deal players at their peak value..
