Lapierre was a name that pop in my head, but with all his projects, I'm not sure he will want to let that down for an assistant coach job in the AHL. Same for Tender

Maybe Pascal Dupuis who have a good relation ship with Bouchard ?

Latendresse has been a coach/GM in the Midget AAA while he's been doing media. So he has been behind the bench at some level.

Another media member I think of is Max Talbot.

The thing about them is it depends if they're interested in having a career in coaching. If they don't, they won't join. But if they do, they'll take the gig, in my opinion. Even if they have other things going.

I thing Gervais is a good fit too

I thought of Gervais and Denis Gauthier also (yes, I'm on a media run here with the proposals), but I didn't really name them because I look at them more as coaches for the defense, which is Daniel Jacobs' job now.

I do openly say that it is a prejudice part of me that looks at Gervais and Gauthier and only thinks of them as D coaches because they were defensemen.

Didn't thought about Talbot good idea but he's working for Pat Brisson agency right now so I don't know if he's interested in a coaching career.

I think Bruno Gervais makes a lot of sense

Bouillon and Bégin too

I like the Talbot, Dupuis and Lapierre suggestions as well

Off of the current topic but I was just wondering if I was to invest in RDS en direct would I be subject to blackouts during Rocket matches? I am in southwestern Ontario

Any team can come in and offer him an NHL contract. Any player that is signed to an AHL contract is committed to the AHL team he's signed to. But any team can come offering him an NHL deal and if he signs, he can leave right away to join the team he just signed for.
What side does he play? If he's a natural right side, they could sure use
help in Montreal. If Romanov continues to struggle, they may need to move him
to the left side. That could make things easier for him.

He's a LD. But he does play the right side, too.

But again, I'm not looking at this guy for the NHL. He's good and has been one of the best discoveries so far this season. But I don't look at him for any NHL time. At least not yet.

Tonight is the 6th game of the season for Laval. I'd rather wait for a bigger sample size before I push for the Habs to sign him to an NHL contract and bring him up for the third pair.

Good call on Bouillon, looks like he might get the gig. Makes sense

Understood. I'm just feeling desperate for a RD option. I never
want to see Mete on that side again. And I still like Mete on the Left.

Yeah, I might be underrating Fleury. Any idea how Juulsen is getting along.
I'd likely have more confidence in him.

I thought Fleury was bad enough last year that expectations needed to be lowered. Most of these guys are young enough that they could change a lot in a year or two...

I'd be fine with Cube staying on as an assistant honestly. He's worked with a lot of the players already and he's got a good head, he's good coach material. He might not be interested in making the transition from his other job though. I'd offer it to him in any case.

Marcotte already said he won't be given the job due his duties with the prospects.

Look for an invitation tomorrow to a virtual tailgate on March 4th 18h EST from the Rocket.

"The Virtual Tailgate will be the opportunity to get inside information on the team’s start to the season and to take stock of several hot topics."

Ryan Poehling, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Joel Teasdale, Cayden Primeau and Joel Bouchard will be there to answer some questions.

Already got my registration since I'm a VIP, but registration will be opened to the public tomorrow with limited spots.
