I think they will move Evans to the wing before they take a look at Caufield.

I think they really want to ease Caufield into the fold. No doubt he will get a call sooner than later though

I googled broken thumb NHL injuries, seems like 4-6 weeks is standard and there are 5 weeks left in the season. He'll be back first round.

A player missing 10 nhl games and 24 days or more can go on LTIR but we won't get any salary cap relief at this point if they come back before the playoffs. If Gallagher doesn't come back until the playoffs we don't have to account for his salary when adding a player this season

As long as Gally is back for playoffs a 100% healthy its not that bad at all.. We’re gonna make the playoffs anyway, gally rested might be a good thing at the end of the day if there’s no permanent damage to his thumb
