Man Dobes has been struggling of late, I suggested that maybe being the leader in minutes played by a good bit aside from one other goalie that was close to him, might be taking a toll. Well at least he won't have to face Caufield next season when he's at Ohio St, the team he just beat up on this weekend.
And Jack Smith on top of having such a terrible year, he's been wildly inconsistent. He's had 3 pt streaks, to start the season he had 3 pts in his first 4 games, things were looking really good, top line center, PP, PK. Then goes 9 games without a point. Then picks up 3 pts in the next 4 games and you think ok, 6 pts in 17 games isn't good but his team was struggling to score and he's a rookie maybe he was just adjusting. (there was speculation he has had a wrist injury)
But then it gets even worse, he goes 10 games without a point. Though to be fair it was 8 games and then he was out for 2 weeks (never heard what the reason was, if it was the wrist or not) comes back for 2 games, no pts, then gets 2 pts in the last 3 games (including tonight)
