The Naki
The goaltending and defensive unit look pretty good, we look at bit thinner up front

Scott, Woll are the goaltenders of interest unsurprisingly

Duszak, Hollowell, Kivihalme (who I'm personally high on), Lindgren and Kral on defense

Abramov, Robertson, SDA, Korshkov, Brazeau, Stotts and Simoneau (I love watching little fellas)

I hope LTV is gong to show these games.
Loved when it was in London , channel 13 televised all the games.

Tryouts start here for some of the guys with big aspirations.

This is a big part of determining which of woll/Scott start with the marlies.

Also goes along ways to determining if Kivihalme and Korshkov have NHL potential in them for this season.

Oven then stomach
Not as high on him as some, hoping he does well regardless though.
I never understood why he got an ELC.

He's a good kid and I'm hoping that he "develops" well, especially physically, but what was the super-noteworthy skill that led to his being drafted so high (relatively-speaking)??

He has the size but unfortunately hands like the goat.

I think Engvall is the better prospect TBH. Better skater and can score some goals.
I find it interesting comparing the development paths of Engvall and Korshkov.

Born the same year but drafted two years apart with Engvall being a 7th rounder and Korshkov a 2nd. Honestly did look like extremely similar players during the Marlies playoff run.

korshkov was running over people.
he has a real mean disposition.
from that games I watched.
he is going to be a beast along the wall.
don't forget it was the first time on north American ice and doesn't speak English.

Usually I travel 75 south but this weekend 75 north/US23. Anyone know what highway like up there? Any decent places to stop? Thanks

Intrigued to see how Elynuik/Estephan/Brazeau do. All better players at each age than Marchment, all bringing elements we need, all vying for an ELC.

I'd expect Estephan to do particularly well.

If nothing else, I expect Korshkov to be physically dominant. He should be capable of producing quite a bit too. Saw him a few times on the Marlies and I have no idea how he was only able to manage 1 goal in 9 games. He wasn't playing in prime offensive roles or anything, so that is part of it, but I think he opens up eyes in this tournament. He looks like a more offensively-capable Leo Komarov.

Playmaking ability, offensive IQ and skating ability. Problem is that Peterborough did not really have too many guys to finish things off for him.
