Good . He's a nice AHL defenseman and alright as an #9-10th defenseman on a team you don't have to worry about too much in a limited third paring role when injuried hit the team.

The Detroit Red Wings today assigned forwards Ryan Kuffner, David Pope, Givani Smith, Evgeny Svechnikov, Joe Veleno and Filip Zadina and defensemen Oliwer Kaski, Gustav Lindstrom and Vili Saarijarvi to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins. Additionally, the Red Wings released forwards Jarid Lukosevicius, Gregor MacLeod and Dominik Shine from their tryouts.

Roster trimmed to 36
